Pauline AllisonPauline Allison - Senior Instructor
Dip Dance, Body Arts and Science Training, Dip Pilates, Advanced Diploma of The Pilates Method (91490NSW), PAA Principal Level. Pauline has an extensive background in dance and musical theatre and holds a Diploma of Dance from the Victorian College of the Arts. She came to Pilates while working as dance captain of 'Phantom of the Opera'. She worked with Pilates for several years as a preventative and strengthening measure and most certainly considers this a major contribution to extending her performing career. Touring with the Phantom company extensively throughout Australasia also allowed her to work with many well-known Pilates practitioners including Megan Williams, Andrew Baxter and Sally Anderson. Her decision to become an instructor was a natural progression, gradually combining two careers and undertaking her initial instructor training with Vass & Shaw Pilates Studio.
 

Pauline went on to complete an internationally recognised certification through the Body Arts & Science professional program which she has since upgraded to the Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method.  Pauline has been teaching Pilates for in excess of fourteen years and during that time was a senior instructor for Pilates International. Her passion for Pilates continues to grow.

Private Classes are ideal for focused detailed work at your pace whether you are new to Pilates, require rehabilitation post-injury, pre and post natal fitness and core or specific strength training...click here  

Small Group Classes

Group Classes are small one hour classes, of no more than four clients to one instructor. This format continues to work clients on an individual program on a full range of equipment in this group setting...click here  

Duets

What to expect

from Pilates

Working with Pilates exercises and equipment you will be moving your body through different planes of movement. Holding and stabilizing ideal postures. Stretching and working muscles that maybe under utilised. Increasing your body awareness, promoting heightened levels of concentration and focus. Pilates develops breath control and unity with movement as it is the engine that drives the movement. So by fine tuning the body through the Pilates method we come to a more aligned, harmonious state of being. At one with the mind, body and spirit. What great potential! click here
